In the context of the Family Pastoral, H.E. the Maronite Archbishop of Cyprus, Youssef Soueif, announces a new initiative  with regard to the dimension and deepening in the  Christian faith of the spouses and the important role played by the family, in the society and the church, for the educational, human and spiritual development of each person.  

          It concerns the introduction to Cyprus  of the “Equipe Notre Dame”

This is a spiritual, international movement within the Catholic church, which promotes the spiritual experience, the testimony of faith,  and the human principles and values in the life of the spouses and consequently of the family.  Five to seven couples gather on a monthly basis, accompanied by a spiritual father in order to share the Word of God and their own experiences.

For this purpose, the following meetings will take place:

11 February 2013, 7.00 pm

Maronite Archbishopric, Acropolis, Nicosia

12 February 2013, 7.00 pm

St Charbel Parish Hall, Limassol

          The couple  Georges Khoury and Mahasen Torbey  from Lebanon, partly responsible for Europe and the Middle East region, will  present the movement to Cyprus.

H.E. Archbishop Soueif invites all couples to participate in the meetings.
